Ride of a life time

My Daughter and Mike went out in this yes a BLIZZARD in northern IL. we attempted to ride to a bar just south of us 6 miles I have made this ride way to many times in the last 23 years I had to stop 1/2 way there turn around and go back, what makes it special for me is that some people backed out before we even tried. My daughter Torie of 17 did not back out she was ready to go we ended back at Mikes house Then we went up to Motts parked right on main streeet in front of the bar snow was deep. We and another friiend were the only sleds there normaly on a snowy night the place would be packed, My Daughter Loves to ride and I will have to give her credit for going out in these conditions as many did not

heard that the city bought 50 sleds,...gotta say,...I wonder if they have 50 qualified personnel to operate them in chicago....

Come on, it's Chicago. The public knows about an alleged 50 snowmobiles that were bought. And I'm sure they were bought from an independent dealer not affiliated with any Chicago politicians. Absolutely. No doubt whatsoever. More than likely they bought 100 machines where 80 of them are already at the vacation homes in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Indiana of select politicians and city employees. 10 of them are being raced around city streets and alleys by said employees' and politicians' kids as part of their political internships. 9 of them will be found in the Englewood district riddled with bullet holes and propped up on milk crates with the tracks, skiis, and engines missing. The one last machine finally made it to the Chicago Fire Department primarily for press photo opportunities but "should be used for snow rescues when necessary."

I was out in my area last nite also. Rode 40 miles in drift after drift in the 3-5' range. At times it was just as good as U.P Powder rideing. Good thing didnt get stuck as i was by myself.
Didnt see a single sled out either. Wonder why>> lol

I was riding with Mike and Torie Dekota was home. I remember the best winter of my time 78/79 I was a senior in highschool after one of the snows it was 3 days before a tractor with a snow blower was able to come down are road

Thats awesome! I have been to Motts a few times by car and by sled, great little place.
