Allegan area question

Rode that area about 10 years ago in mid-Dec and we were only able to go partway and the trail was gated and muzzle loader season was happening on the other side of the gate.....after sitting there for a few minutes and hearing a muzzle loader blast we figured we would head back. 
Possible that since then they have moved the start date to Jan 1st....
Possible that since then they have moved the start date to Jan 1st....Does this mean I can ride between 7-11 and 2-5 or can I ride that area from 11-2 and 5p-7a?

Just go around it(forest) or ride really quick and keep your head down!! Not positive wearing orange would help you with hunters around!!
sw lower-not sure where your located(town), but please post/keep updated on LES amounts for Allegan area. Looking to ride up there Sunday if the snows come.

It will have to be a blast of LES ( which may be possible ) BUT... everything seems severly behind all over MI . It just started to get down to 32 for several evenings... This should have started in Oct/November . The only decent snow( barring out west, alaska, russia, antartica) from what I have picked up on in other boards is over in Ontario somewhere ??? I don't know how much there is but some rivers & lakes are froze up enough for running on. The members are breaking in the new cats , turbo this turbo that... Then the ski areas are running their snow guns... claiming to open trails for skiing...
It might come to the point that I hope I don't get the new job I was interviewed for and go on a long road trip...

the ground is bare and warm, not even frozen.
there is no way it will be ready unless we get nailed
we are hoping for a dusting maybe for tracking, don't get your hopes up

Thank you for the info. I don't hunt, so not sure when the good times are! I had tried fishweb, but couldn't find the info....
Here's to hoping for a good blast to get the sled all checked out.
