Theres things to see and do but you have to drive 15-to 45 minutes to do them, the old victoria settlement in rockland which is kinda cool to see, the ontonagon historical museum, ottawa national forest visitors center in watersmeet, the paulding light, bond falls, agate falls, hope this might give you some ideas....wondering kids or no kids?? if with kids I may have some other ideas
