Meeting JD Members

This past weekend I got the chance to meet up with Windingtrailgal and her family. Unfortunately it was not the trails or in the pub but she, her husband and her boys graciously welcomed myself and my one son into their home. Cindy and I had been trading emails back and forth for a few days as she had some baby shower gifts for our new addition.

I had only planned to stay a few minutes but man does time fly when you are having fun! We chatted about anything and everything JD, our families, etc...for over an hour. We would have stayed longer as the boys were having fun as were we but I had to get the little man home for lunch and then nap time!

If you ever get the chance to meet up with fellow JD'ers I highly suggest it!

Thanks again Cindy & Art...we look forward to seeing you UP north and having some fun on the trails and a few in the pub!

Totally agree with you. I was at Art and Cindy's and what a time! We covered all topics! I have met a couple hundred JDeer's over the years all good people.

Awwww....thanks Jeff! It was really good to meet you! Time DID fly...but I always assume that's because I'm such a chatty cathy! We ALL agreed that your son was THE BEST 3 year old that has ever been in this house...and there have been a lot of them!

It was good to meet Wayne and his wife last year, too!

Always nice to have a face with the name.

Even if I haven't met 99% of the JD'ers face to face, any that I HAVE met have been awesome...and the help, laughs, advice etc through here is what makes it feel like a family.

Too bad JD doesn't have like, oh, a once a year event...maybe even for, oh, charity, where we could all meet up and have some fun?

I made time way last October to make it to the Ride in in Feb. I wanted to ride from my home all the way out to Mich. I have ridden this far before and back then the 'forecast' was favorable. However Mother Nature is boss. This is one of my favorite sites and I visit it everyday. There are lots of folks here I would like to meet in person and I figured at least some of them would go to the Ride In. No Snow has screwed things up this year but it would be fun just to have a John Dees get-together somewhere sometime. It might not even have to be in the winter. If some charity would be attached to it so much the better. If something WERE planned for the summer months where we were not so weather dependant I bet it would be a well attended event. Just a thought. Until then I guess I will just keep in touch. With Polarisrider1,Whitedust , Indy, Bearassler, Windingtrail, Ezra, John Dees himself and all the rest of you poor folks infected with this strange snowbug. Grub.

I like this idea. I am in Ironwood more than Chicago now so, anyone coming through if I am around I would be glad to meet.
