It's the annual ride for the Special needs young adults held by the Valley Snow Drifters in Lake Linden. Dan's Recreation will be donating some sleds this year, in the past Evert's was a huge donor as well,but will not be available this year. If anyone has a 2up sled and is in the area on MON. FEB.27TH , at 10 o'clock is when we meet at the RANGE SNOWMOBILE CLUB IN ATLANTIC MINE. This is a event that brings so many smiles to the kids. They leave the club house at 10, escorted by the Houghton Co. Sheriff's Dept. and go as far as the bridge on the Freada loop trail, then back to the club house for a hot dog lunch. Please if your in the area and have 3 hours or so to donate please join the good folks/kids at the club house. This year sleds will be appreciated, as well as drivers. Sue would like a head count I'm sure ASAP. feel free to contact me and I can submit a list of driver's and sleds. THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL.

TTT, ANYONE INTERESTED???? With Evert's out of business this year there is a stortage of sleds, as stated Dan's Recreation is donating but has limited 2 ups. Driver's are always needed as well. I'T'S ONLY 3 HOURS MAX OF YOUR TIME , BUT BRINGS ALOT OF SMILES !!Also don't forget next weekend is the clubs spagetti dinner as a fund raiser for there club, it is located at the Dreamland bar and restraunt.

We are in need of drivers
Is there any way that you can get the word out sooner for this, like Dec/Jan so those who travel many miles to can make plans with definate dates and times. We want to participate but just 3-4 weeks notice isn't enough. Some of us only make one or two trips a year to the UP but would love to help out. Thanks for including and inviting us from outside the area to participate in this event and we will look forward to next years event.

Good morning trebsdub, the meeting place is at the Range Snowmobile Club in Atlantic Mine on M- 26. In the past meeting time was 9 -9:30 kids arrive at 10 the ride takes about 1 hour a lite lunch is served after the ride. Joe can update you more as it is their club that sponsors this event. I will know around 6 a.m. tomorrow morning if the ride is cancelled or not. If the ride is cancelled we will be trying to reschedule for the 5th of March. You can call me at 815-739-1491 as early as 6 in the morning and I will let you know what is going on. Thank You everyone for your help and understanding. Call me instead of checking school cancellations as I should know if the event is going to happen or not.
