I once asked John if there had ever been a reported case anywhere in the UP. He said the only one he new of was on MT. Ripply and was man made. Obviously it IS possible under extreme conditions.

Amazing video and totally lucky he's still alive after that. Only question I have is, when the one guy stopped at the hill top, why did he sit there and watch for 10 seconds before moving. That could have made the difference.
