A lesson from an idiot!

Make sure the trailer tounge is in the LOCKED position BEFORE you try to unload your sled!

Bad things happen if you don't!

At least I didn't break my rear window, AGAIN.

Catastrophy Dave!

So you dont feel so bad... Be sure to put the tilt pin also, my sled jiggled back and the trailer tilted going down the road. NOT GOOD! I was only going 45 and there were no oncoming cars. It sure was a wild seeing that trailer whiping all over the road.

Okay Dave, you knew I would have to pick on you eventually. Here we go, "Was fireball involved?" BTW we missed you this past weekend.

Can't blame everything on the Fireball like you!

Just plain "Yeah, I know what I'm doing"

You, even Wayne, knows where that gets ya!

BTW, I had a great weekend! Even without riding a sled! Hockey team won and I got to spend the evening with my princess!

Yep, had the experience in reverse - did it while loading. The latch was closed but not locked on the ball. It was my lucky day though. The tongue shot up and lodged perfectly in my tailgate handle. Didn't even put a scratch on the tailgate.

Worst part: My wife watched the whole thing from the front room window. I'm pretty sure her comment had the word "idiot" in it.

Idiot is the only word that came to mind for me! :)

Slight scratch on the nose of the Dragon. I will call it a fire burn based on all the Fireball allegations I have gotten over the past year!

I haven't looked at the truck yet. At this point, I have a rear window. The rest in gravy I suppose!

Thanks, by the way, on the picture. She's my baby and, literally, just now brought me a tooth she pulled out!

I wanted to tie it to the door and pull! :)

Don't feel bad....I've done it twice with a utility trailer. I've declared myself a DUMB@$$ after the second one. Both times I majorly dinged in the tailgates. Thankfully I double and triple check the sled trailer or that would be going for a ride too I suppose.

x2,,, Been there, done that !......... Its so hard to let them go !!!

Dave, Thanks for sharing the picture of you and your little girl. I remember those dances and all the great times we had together like it was yesterday.

I've never had a trailer come lose, but on a trip to the UP one of my buddies stop at a stop sign in front of me and his came off. Lucky we had two-way radios and i stop him before he turned the corner. Don't know what would have happened if he turned that corner but i;am sure it would'nt have been good.

Been there, done that a few years back. First time unloading an enclosed Mission, drive on back off. Luckily no damage to the truck, but popped the trim along the back of a brand new trailer. Oh how dumb I felt.

At the rate I'm going, it's going to be, "daddy had to fix (fill in the blank) so I can't help you. Have you ever thought of getting a job?"
