fluff puff? For once I have no comment...

Can a fluff puff become a Saskatchewan Screamer? And what about Alberta? If she starts really moving instead of just laying there can she become a screamer too? Watch the new at noon to find out.

I tried to google John Chandick - saw a 70's ad for him out of Green Bay? And also HH's mention of him per this thread!

Tom Skilling is a WGN - Chicago meteorologist. He's a REAL meteorologist (like JD) and not a fluff puff who just reads the weather. He loves his job and it shows. We watch him at least once a day...sometimes twice!

Sorry for the late response, I was getting my lawn mower ready (lol). What a crazy winter, no snow in Door County, a nice warm rain and the lawn could be rolled.

Anyways, John Chandick was a weatherman for WLUK TV 11 in Green Bay for many years in the 70's, 80's and early 90's(?). He was born and raised in Canada (Saskatchewan Province I believe) and coined the phrase 'Saskatchewan Screamer' and 'Alberta Clipper'. One time he blew a forecast for snow prediction and had to complete a small wager he had for total snow accumulation. He had to do the 6:00 p.m. forecast on T.V. while standing on his head. Funny thing was all the while he was doing the forecast, coins he had in his pants pocket kept falling out and landing on the studio floor making the typical 'coin' sound. The production crew could not hold in their laughter. Like the class guy John was, he did the forecast with pride.

Funny things you remember as a kid. Wonder what John Dee will do if and when he blows a forecast!
