Bob Lake Campground South of Mass City, MI off of trail 12

Just wondering if anybody has been there and knows the lake? We were there two weeks ago and there were plenty of tracks going to the lake, but barely any tracks on the lake, mostly just on the shoreline. We didn't venture out, but will be back up there this weekend and was wondering if anybody knows if this lake is safe? Has springs, etc... Plan on staying off of it, unless someone can assure that it is safe.

Been riding that area for 17 years; NEVER have seen it to have " good ice". Seen a few try it, and it is always slushy after about 100 feet from shore.
