Awesome! I always wanted Klim gear with a Polaris logo on it!! I had noticed the past year or so Polaris ads showed guys wearing Klim gear, but I thought they were just going to make their gear like they did for Yamaha for a while.

You two give me the willeys. Has Poo screwed up Indian? Victory? Polaris sleds pre 05 post 2011? Their clothes line? Their side by sides? Their government contracts?
I suspect they just wanted to improve their portfolio with another quality brand that most all who ride their RMK's wears. Way better business mix then with trail sled and Yamaha.

I do wonder what the slave labor in the jungles of southeast asia think about when they make all the cool stuff for us spoiled Americans.

That's a great line about sleds Polaris sleds pre 05 post 2011.

My guess is that Poo made them an offer they couldn't refuse. The article said they are going to keep the brands separate. Still, I'm guessing the Cat and Doo guys will be looking a lot closer at motorfist going forward. I think every piece of my riding gear is a different brand name, so I don't care (I do really like my Poo jacket), but I always thought there was something cool about klim (and motorfist, etc.) being independent of the manufacturers. Nice you can call and talk to someone there also for advice or warranty issues. They came across more as a smaller business.

I agree the Yamaha co-branding didn't make sense at all, given Yami is more trail oriented than the rest, but that was different than ownership.

Polaris continues to diversify and they are a very financially solid company! I've had about 15 new Polaris sleds since I graduated college, and I have never had an issue with their customer service, and I even owned a 2006 FST! Did I have a few minor issues at the beginning? Yes. Did Polaris step up and take care of it, including a $50 gas card? Yes.

Are people really that shallow that they won't buy Klim now that Polaris owns them?

Interresting & just going to see how this all works out? Klim built a huge distrubution network in WI & MI in just a few years. Will that stay the same or will Polaris want Klim only sold at Polaris dealers? Is Klim so good at what they do because they are small & big company infrastructure will slow development & key people get fed up & leave? Sometimes small companies do well because they are small & their passion drives them. Just don't know but betting Klim spinoff within 5 years just what always seems to happen in deals like this.

If people really think that Polaris isn't going to come in and start changing things, they are kidding themselves. The "passion and commitment" that drove innovation will shortly be replaced by "fiscal responsibilities, budgets and responsibility to our shareholders." Klim employees just went from being a name to a number. Welcome to corporate America!
