Used Sled Market

With all this talk about lack of snow and people saying how they are ready to hang it up or just rent, I'm starting to think this spring could be a good time to pick up a used sled as people will be ready to give them away! Just keeping the glass more than half full :)

If you look at used prcies no one is giving their sled away LOL :)

No kidding, IMO a lot of used prices are "pie in the sky" numbers right now. Just wait till April when someones wife says "you haven't ridden that sled more than 3 times in the last two years, so don't think you're going to pay to store it another 6 months" (no offence to all the women on here, or those who enjoy riding as much, or even more than their guys!)

After this start, if we have a winter that ends early I bet a lot of sleds will hit the market.

It's amazing that after only one month into the riding season some are already acting as if the season is shot.

I'm hoping that my wife might say something like 'you've put six hundred miles on that thing in the last two years, don't you think it's time to get a new one.' LMAO, cause that is NOT gonna happen.

It's not just sleds. Look on craigslist, people are asking a ton for their junk. Doesnt matter what it is.

I've noticed this too... Some people are out of their minds! Then we have to look at re-posts the same overpriced junk on CL for months because it won't sell...gee wonder why.

Used sleds are worth more though now that anything new is $10 grand, but some of these guys are not gonna get near what they are asking for on 02 and 03 sleds especially if this winter doesn't turn around

I've noticed this as well, some good buys on '11 & 12's (zero miles & warranty) for less than what people are asking for their used ones of similar make & model. For the guy selling his used one is tough in this market.

Might be some good buys on carry-over 2013's next year as well. I'm hoping so.

After reading some of the post where they said the trails were great, but they need bides and slides after 300 miles.Just a few blocks of black top hear and there. Just make sure that used sled you buy was ridden in snow!
