Agreed. Tom is top notch there. Hot Chocolate, coffee and snacks more often than not. Rumor has it there is a hot dog stand or snack stand at the ice caves this year. Havent found out for myself though yet this year.

It's early in the morning and I haven't had my full complement of coffee, so I'm probably missing something, but......if one heads north and then turns left, wouldn't one be heading west?

Good point, I was going to bed when I wrote that so I was on the other end of the spectrum of "out of it"

It's not the county.....his "problem" is the petty bureaucrats of Chocolay township......they just continually f*** with him.......and now, vice versa ;)

Okay. I went there a couple of years ago and just remembered some kind of hatred of some sort of government. I feel his pain.

Have you seen the signs he has posted? Something to the effect of, general public is welcome on his property but any township officials will be considered trespassers and will be prosecuted as such if caught. Funny!

Can't wait! Feb. 4 seems sooo far away. At least we've gotten 2" here which is finally enough to cover the grass.

Thanks for everyones advice. Hopefully conditions hold or improve the next week. JD forcast seems good!

Just finished up a back back trip we did Paradise to Munising in one day it was 186 miles going thru Grand Marais. If your going to do it one day leave early and expect to be back late and pray for your sleds to run good the whole time.
