Is this possible? Anyone know trail mileage?

done it many times, actually you ride from St. Ignace towards trout lake but turn right (east onto the Cedarville trail thru Hessell and Cedarville onwards to Detour Village, there you ride your sled onto the ferry boat and ride over to Drummond Island. you MUST take the ferry. Mileage I am not sure but very easy to do in a morning.

I recomend driving up friday after work andstarting in the lower somewhere around Pellston (nice hotel by airport)or Alonson and ride up to the Mackinaw Bridge get shuttled acrossed in the van and 6 place trailer then ride to Detour then ferry across to Drummond then ride the Island and that will give you a full day, stay the night on the island and do the trip in reverse heading back. that will fill 2 days and still give you time to drive back home for work on monday. Done this both with the wives and newbies but it may be a stretch for some. With guys who ride it is a piece of cake to do and you rack up a lot of miles in two days.

Headed up to St. Ignace in 2 hours. Any suggestions on which way to headed? We talked about heading north to new berry and up to the falls but wonder how much traffic may be in that area. The other idea was to head east towards Drummond Island. Any advantages or disadvantages would be appreciated. Thanks
