Good Trail Conditions Closest to Milwaukee? Crivitz? Anitgo? Crandon? Other?

I'll be picking up my trailer and sleds in Milwaukee tomorrow morning. (Long story. Totalled my truck last trip a couple of weeks ago near the UP. Got the trailer/sleds as far home as Milwaukee but had to leave them there.) I am hoping to get some riding in tomorrow afternoon and Sunday before heading back to Cincinnati Monday morning.

What areas have good trail conditions closest to Milwaukee? I have spent a little time surfing and am having a hard time telling what areas got beat by the rain Sunday and Monday. I've had suggestions for Crandon and Antigo. Never been in that area - any feedback on those areas? Also, rode Crivitz area a number of years ago and loved it but it sounds like snow is pretty thin/icy there?

Looks like I will be solo (my teenage son is bailing on me) so I'd be happy to meet up and trail ride with someone.

You have not said what type of trails you want plenty of farm field trails close in if that is what you want just head north you will see them.

I'd prefer a bit more north woods than farm fields.

I've done most of my riding in the UP in recent years due to unpredictable snow in WI. Before that most riding was in the Minocqua, St. Germain, Eagle River area. My memory isn't what it used to be so more specific suggestions such as Wausau/Lake Dubay are appreciated.

Thanks

Wooded trails start about Crandon & Tomahawk along with goodish conditions. Rhinelander on north very good conditions.

Marathon County (Wausau) is in good condition right now and the Tomahawk area as well as Langlade county are in excellent condtion. No need to go further to find great conditions.

Marathon County has a good mix of wood and farm field trails. I would say trails are evenly split between farm fields and woods. But lets stop talking about Marathon County because it is one of the best kept secrets to snowmobile when there is good snow.
