2008 Arctic Cat F6 LXR - Dash and taillight stays on. HELP

I have a 08 F6 LXR, just bought. When I turn the motor off the speedo pod lights and the taillight stay on draining the battery.
Any help would be great.

The CCU is the interface between the systems. It controls the reverse shift to be sure the machine isn't moving FWD prior to shifting, it is the voltage regulator and it is the device that disconnects the battery from the chassic electronics when the engine is shut down. The last function is the part that is faulty.

I wouldn't say its common. I've been selling Cats since '05, so I've been involved with the twin spars from the beginning. I've replaced one CCU for exactly the same issue.

I put a different CCU on last year, solved the problem, now after 400 mile I am having the same issue, why do I keep burning up CCU's.

Thanks for any help out there.

Did you put a NEW unit, p/n 0630-246, an earlier p/n NEW or a used unit? There were a few supercessions of CCUs until they came to the current 0630-246. I don't know the differences between the part numbers.

It turns out the main and console wiring harnes got water in them and shorted things out.

They are replacing both harnesses and the ccu.

Big bucks

Hopefully that fixes things.

Hope to ride it in the UP this weekend.
