I do have a nice SRX mountain edition that i thought i would try to sell. With the snow sticking around so late we have not been able to get back to work. I think i'll ruff it and keep it.

Thanks - Lenny & The "Dirty Dozen" Team

Hello Gentlemen - Rich (Snomobubl on JD) from Chicago with the black Yamaha Attak. I had a blast and it was a pleasure riding with and meeting all of you!

Lenny - First of all, thanks for the effort in putting together the late season ride, your guided tour and for the excellent accommodations! It was great to hang and I enjoyed breakfast with you and Dave on Sunday morning and meeting your wife on Saturday night. Looking forward to discovering more uncharted territory with you up there next year.

Scott and Eric - Loved watching you guys tear up the vertical terrain! Someday I might grow large enough nads to ride like that. Scott - Thanks for the tasty M1000 snow cones! - next time I will follow a little further back. Sorry for the heavy lifting and any hernias I may be responsible for with my stucks. My favorite quote was from Eric after grabbing my ski, tugging and nearly ripping his arms out of their sockets - "Holy Crap – these Yamahas are heavier than a two stroke!"

Jim - Us Yammi guys need to stick together - our tonnage and trail pressure is the reason there still snowpack on the Bill Nichols at the end of April!. I love the picture of you and Dave "Trout Fishing" - If you both would have only brought your waders! Wish we would have had more time to ride together – let’s make a point to connect next season.

Steve - Thanks for the ride on the "Vintage Cat". The good thing about Cats is that other than coughing up an occasional hairball, they are great at climbing trees and they always land on their feet! You have inspired me to remove my swaybar to improve upon my outstanding side-hilling skills and capabilities (LOL!)

Shane - Thanks for the fine Wisconsin Cheeses - I can feel my arteries hardening already! Good luck at Tech this semester and hope to see you on/off trail next season.

Ben & Paul
Ben - Thanks for the tasty Wisconsin beef sticks - How can something made from lips and assholes taste so good? Your sticks complemented by the fine cheeses from Shane reminded me of Christmas dinner with my in-laws from Hatley WI. All I was missing was the six-pack of Point Special!

Paul - You definitely had the sexiest sled in the group - I never knew that Polaris made a "Legally Blonde" version of the Switchback Adventure. I especially loved the matching pink stud backers. It reminded me that it is OK for men to cry and occasionally watch chick flicks (had to rub it in - LOL!). Please tell your wife thank you from the group for the loaner sled. Glad to hear that you have a new Apex XTX on the way next season (hopefully not in the same color). The XTX is a really nice trail sled and can get you through some deeper snow also.

Hope to ride with both of you on the trail next year!

Chris – I would love to do a trip up in your neck of the woods next year. I know there are a boatload of 2 tracks and logging roads up there in the Huron Mountains waiting to be explored. I saw the picture of your creek crossing stuck- I missed seeing that one in person. It would have made a great bridge for the rest of the sleds to cross!

Johnny – I am not to far away from you here in the western burbs. We should try to get together and plan some riding in the Land-O area next year. I often straddle the Cheddar Curtain and ride on both WI twisties and MI corridors. I know my way around pretty well just across the border in the UP and there is abundant off trail riding to be had up there.

Dave – You won’t be able to hide from the photos of the creek sink stuck! It has been permanently captured and archived in search engines across the World Wide Web. Does Doo make a periscope accessory for the Summit? Glad we were able to get her drained and fired up. Thanks again for driving and nice to have another FIB that is passionate about the sport so close to home. We will definitely plan some riding for next year.

Have a great summer and look forward to seeing you all next year!

That sled is very capable but if you really wanna see it go crazy, I can give you some details of the mods to bring it into the 2000's

The old triple-triple Yamaha SRX's were pretty bad *** machines! A little heavy compared to a modern 2 cylinder 2-stroke, but no shortage of power.

I agree,, they rock! The chassis is the weak link in comparison and need lots of upgrades just to become decent. I am considering selling my Mtn Max after all the upgrades not because I don't like it but because it is much harder on me. I love the sled and how it performs but I want to not have to work as hard and am looking for the well balanced machine, better MPG's, not have to re-jett,,etc,,,

Nicely done! I wanted to get out for another trip and considered answering the original post, but I could not get away from work. It looks like the perfect spring bonus ride happened.

I do not think this would have happened without the "Lenny" invitation.

We all love to ride and this trip looks like it will go down in the books for the group.

I'll dump it, remember, cat 141 power claw, simmons skis, custom cut seat w/huge tunnel bag, triple pipes (140+hp) geared, clutched, custom hood, riser, extended cables, bars, shelf removed from air box, reed spacers. Viper shocks up front to raise sus a little

My sled is a 2001 so the approach angle is 17 degrees so it's not a trencher like the years previous. All bearings good, top of motor fresh at the beginning of this season, no blown shocks. Front end straight, bars straight. Sled flat out rips!

The sled is old and not babied. It has some scars, one foot well has been repaired and material added to reinforce area where trailing arm mounts. I have hit many trees but I just fix it. Tunnel straight as with trailing arms. Speedo not working, cable shot, not bearing. Comes with many parts like 600 motor.

$2700 I need cash for the 09 M,,,no trades

all sleds wear you out mine just earlier as it's center of gravity is too low kinda like the summits. You gotta yank hard on some sleds to turn them over to carve and mine carves much easier than a summit. I am tired of yanking so an M is in order. It would be a pro but the dang motors just don't hold up on the 800's and no more small bores for me. The new doo's are cool but it's 1 year design so they bring top dollar. The M chassis is proven and the 800 rocks, 09-11 for me.

I thought you would come back at me with a much higher price,Touché , Everything I looked at was $1500 plus mods, and labor, and a drive to go get the sled. You've got me thinking? Do I buy yours,or wait till I can swing a 06m-10M??? I'm not one to do payments on toys.
