Rust removal

We have a cabin in northern Wi . This isn't a big problem but drives me nuts...we have an old white metal shower. After a few uses, it turns yellow from the iron in the water. Does anyone know a good easy way to remove it. I have tried CLRs and it works but takes tons of scrubbing. Don't want to use precious cabin time scrubbing a shower!

try Iron Out. Make a paste by adding a little water and rub it in, should take the stains off right away. If it really bugs you get a cheap water softener, add iron out to the salt and you should be rust free.

I use a liquid wipe on a rag and goes on very easy with no scrubbing. And wipes off when it drys all the rust w/o all the strong oders and gagging in an enclosed space. I just don't know the name of the stuff. Bought a supply a few years ago. I think its " Liquid Gell "
I'll let ya know.

* Gel Gloss - works great on fiberglass enclosures. I would think metal also

I've found nothing better than Iron Out. It's available in a spray too.

I have not seen the iron out liquid, will need to look for that. We had an issue where our iron filter went into regeneration during a load of white clothes. We soaked the white clothes in a sink with some iron out and 5 minutes later they were perfectly clean. Great stuff
