It's that time of year just down the road from us here in Neenah that the Experimental Aircraft Association holds their AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This is one of those things you have to see once in your lifetime. War Birds, Home Builts, Modern Military, you name it. It's the Busiest Airport in the World with just about every plane imaginable both old and new.

Here's a link to their Website:

Here's a video of what to expect:

We're up to our eye balls in planes here in Appleton. They've been piling up all day as were the closest commercial airport outside of EAA Oshkosh. I've been watching a B17 Flying Fortress from my office land and take off most of the afternoon. Love the Warbirds!

Just watched the B29 SuperFortress "Fifi" take off from Appleton's ATW. It's the last of the B29's still flying anywhere in the world.

My kids are there all week with my brother. They got to watch Chicago Monday PM and big outdoor movie last night. Tonight is night show and fireworks. I am jealous of them but that is what being a kid is all about. They are camping on site.

The nice thing about working by the airport in Milwaukee is seeing a bunch of the planes land. Had a Harrier Jump Jet come in for a landing today, damn those things are loud!!!!!
