We have stopped in at the Grill for a bite to eat but never to stay. Any feed back on the Lodge as a place to stay for a few days? We need some place with WARM pool.

Its not bad but its been a few years since we stayed last. Little pricy but its all by itself. I'd say head to Houghton for more options. Ramada is a good place.

We stay there every time we go up there since its kinda right in the middle of everything. Yes nice place to stay, yes kinda pricey, we like it though. They have had some bad reviews though. Might want to check out D's basecamp they own the bug bar also, or krupps resort.

The Parkview has always had a warm pool every time I have stayed they, long time ago. Your next closets place is Houghton or if you go the opposite way there is a place in SilverCity called AmericInn,,,down past Ontonagon. You'd like the Parkview, they are going through some interesting times and it can show but all in all a nice place

We have a room booked for MLK weekend and try to go there every year. Great facility and location; restaurant, bar and pool w hot tub. The hosts are nice people. It books up fast because there are only 20 or so rooms.

Highly reccomend parkview for lodging if you need/want a pool, nice and clean always and the food/bar is right there and you dont have to ride down sidewalks to get there, literally right on the trail.

if you dont need a pool go across the street to krupps

Never have stayed there but always stop in for a few bl smoothies with lenny when we are up for a sled trip. Good food and right on the trail,

We stay there once a year on an annual trip. It's nice, clean, convenient and all inside on one campus with a pool and hot tub which make it nice.

The only complaint is that during the week the bar closes early even when there are paying (and staying) customers at the rail. But big deal it's sweet to walk from your comfy, cozy room in a pair of slippers to have a night cap. Get a case of beer for the room and call it a day.

As someone in a previous post said it's nice too because it puts you out of town (Houghton) but still centrally located.

Also have stayed a Krupps acrossed the road and they are great too. Not too far from Parkview or Bug Bar for suds and some food not too mention the Strudel and Pasties are AWESOME.

has anybody stayed at AmericInn in Silver City?

My family stays there when they come up for a visit. Its a big chain hotel and they have always had a good stay there. Restaurant downstairs has decent food as well. Only problem sledding is sometimes the snow can be very thin from White Pine thru Silver City to the Porkies.

everyone is forgetting the wildlife refuge cabins in south range also, they have a hot tube and very nice cabins.

I have stayed at the Americinn in Silver City. Very sledder friendly. We wanted to make a overnight trip to copper harbor and come back and stay in houghton for a little fun. Front desk lady let us keep all our stuff in the rooms and didn't charge us for that night. That was very impressive to me!! Snow can be thin though is the ONLY downfall.

Yes we have stayed there. It is a good place to stay. No gas in town, but just to the south a few miles there was.

Have stayed there many times, nice overnight stop, right on the trail, a bit pricy, very convenient with no need to ride somewhere for food. Never tried the pool (didn't know they had one). Was MORE convenient when the BP gas station was still open...maybe it will open back up this year, don't know. Nice having your sled(s) right out the door, front or back. Can't say enough for Krupp's pasties, they are simply awesome. Still have one left when we brought four home from a summer trip to the harbor. Krupps Resort is fine too, and have also stayed at the Wynette (ph) place in Twin Lakes plus lots of other motels/cabins winter and summer from Mass City all the way to the launching pad beyond Copper Harbor (no lodging there of course). I give very high marks to all of the lodging we have found in Michigan.

The wildlife cabins were planning on a hot tube but i guess that didnt happen, there is a sauna though and the BP station has reopened in south range so gas is right there again.
