Only negative about the Ski Doo 900 ACE for new or younger riders is the cost of the sled, not an entry-level price for that market unfortunately.

I think many people will be surprised by the 900ACE, I was. Will be fun to finally get the sled, and get out on the snow!

As far as new tech for sleds, if cost wasn't such a concern, I think we would see more use of lighter weight materials to cut down on weight.

One thing that would be good to see, is if they could design the bearings for use in the driveline and rear suspension to be truly sealed and not need any servicing due to moisture getting inside of them.

ACE 900 is the next big thing. Ride by wire expands a sleds appeal and versatility. With a 10 year old aspiring rider at home, I will definitely be looking into tech like this for my next sled in a couple of years.

Another things I'd like to see is a complete insulated jacket that had built in protection...for example, a Klim insulated jacket with a built in tek vest, reducing overall bulkiness as well as reducing the number of zippers to go through to take a pit stop...

Be cool if they could figure out a way to keep the sleds from creating moguls on the trails. Of course as the horsepower goes up and the tracks get longer, this isn't getting better. Maybe if the sleds went to longer tracks but not longer lugs, there wouldn't be as much spinning of the tracks to accelerate.

I like the jerk-sensor suggested by groomerdriver.

although an obvious choice, I really like the idea of eliminating moguls. Too bad groomer technology couldn't improve to help with that situation. Maybe some chemical that could be laid down as the groomer went along to help the ribbon set up almost instantly instead of having to wait for a period of time depending on the air temp. We can keep dreaming can't we?

A decent Affordable dash mounted GPS that is easy to remove, but not fall off on its own, for the Mountain sleds that is protected for thoses of us who roll our sleds out of a hole. (is that a run on sentence?) It must be easy to use and look stock, yet be an option for those who wish to follow. It needs to contain trail maps and topo maps for all areas north of the Mason/Dixon line to the Arctic circle in the Northern Hemisphere. I think it would sell!

Klim Stealth jacket & bibs is supposed to do that under impact. Very expensive stuff but is neat if it really works. :) Check it out on Klim site.

Yep was & still is a big seller for Yamaha sleds in Canada.

That was done in UP maybe 10 years or so ago groomer added water to the ribbon to set it up quicker & harder. Must not have worked too well or maybe cost was an issue but at the time I thought this is the next big thing but went away. Don't know why? Anyone else know?

checked it out. Not yet what I was looking for, but looks they are headed in the right direction. Protection can't be in the shoulders only. chest and full frontal down to abdominal like the tek vests are is what I'm looking for...all in the warmest jacket they offer.

Yes I went back & checked.... since August intro Klim has backed off Stealth impact stiffening material. Very high tech stuff read about it somewhere else but this was the 1st garment OEM that used it that I know of. Don't know if this material was meant to replace a tech vest or was addtional protection either way $1200 bucks for bib & jacket not happening in my world.lol:)
