Leather gloves

I'm thinking about getting a new pair of leather gloves this year and was wondering if anyone has used the Klim Elite Glove? I haven't seen it before so maybe it's a new product.

Also, looked at the ski-doo X-team leather glove. Anyone used these before?

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Although I haven't tried the Klim leather gloves, the Klimate gloves I had were a disappointment--fell apart in the palms. On advice I got from this site, I went with Cabelas leather gloves and have loved them for two seasons now. They've held up fantastically and they're really warm, at about half the Klim price. Just bought another pair--the Gore-tex Primaloft Pinnacle gloves, and am looking forward to trying them out once my old ones wear out.

Klims Togwotee gloves are real good. Mine are the older style when they first came out. No issues. My most favorite glove is by TAG. (true Adventure gear) The storm model. I just got a sweet deal on a pair of snow Camo Arctivas that look very well made and would be a good trail glove. Got them from firstplaceparts and a free thunderstruck 11 video for $19. yes $19 with free frieght. regular $55 plus the video was free!

yes, I have other Klim gloves (non-leather) and they are just so-so. Nothing special. I have always like leather gloves for some reason and am looking for "leather" gloves. Hoping to get someone's comments who also like leather gloves and have a pair they like. I have used two gloves or the last ten years, both Yamaha leather gloves. I'm on year five or six on my current pair and it's time for a new pair.

I wore leather gloves for years. They were warm as long as they were dry. My hands are a weak spot for me, so a good glove is a must. If it is to cold I end up using the handlebar gauntlets, they are clumsy but they sure do work good.

I could use a new pair, also. So I am curious as to what others have also.

I've had the same leather snowmobile gloves for 12+ years. They have removable wicking liners. Yeah, I've had a seam or two that I restitched, no big deal.

I know what you mean about liking leather gloves. I'm still on a pair of Arctic Cat ones that are 15 years old. Granted I took about 5 seasons off during that time, but still holding up. Had to add some gauntlets last year for the first time when we were in the UP for the Ride-In weekend, and I know they look stupid, but they were great for trail riding. Bought my son his first pair of leather ones last year too. I guess there is just something old school about them that I like. Can't speak from a lot of varying experience of different brands, but whoever made Cat's in the late 90's did a good job.

I also only wear leather gloves.

I have worn the Ski-Doo X-Team leather gloves for years and have no complaints on them at all. They always kept my hands warm and toasty, were comfortable to wear, and never seemed to show any wear or tear. Only reason I don't have them is my German Shepard decided they were his chew toy one night.

I now wear FXR leather gloves and have no complaints on them. I am not brand loyal, but whatever keeps me warm.

Thank you. that's the kind of feedback I was looking for.

I also have the skidoo x-team gloves. they are a good glove, got mine off ebay brand new for $65. Nothing worse than cold fingers.
I also have a pair of leather mittens that i bought at a mens store in the early 90's, now them are the best snowmobiling gloves/ mittens i have ever had!

I remember thinking my Polaris Leather gloves were all that. They would end up smelling to high heaven before they wore out. $50 for leather gloves in 1990 is way more then $99 for klim togwotees today, taking inflation into account.

From what I have seen FXR looks like best bet for leather gloves lots of choices & lots of retail outlets no one really came up with any better selection so far than FXR think you need more FXR proof statements from folks to feel comfortable.
