Curiosity has the best of me. What happened to this thread? Did it get deleted? Was the picture ever posted?

It is good to hear. Maybe it will teach him/her a life lesson and maybe it has helped to make him/her a better person for it.

There was a request made by the poster to delete it since the person came forward and is returning it. The person learned a valuable lesson here I believe. I know we are all very curious, but I think it's best to move on and it's seems that's what the mosquito wants as well.

You're right, I'm sure that he will look for the camera's next time.

Sorry but years and years of working with these kind of Bozo's has left me a little cynical.

I understand. I worked in public service long enough that I'm a bit cynical, too. But hey, 'tis the season of hope, right?

Ditto.... Cynical is the right word. My wife thinks I'm crazy but I have a hard time not seeing everyone I meet as guilty of something unless they prove to me otherwise.

It may have to do with the area you live in. Over here on the Gold Coast (west Michigan) with strong "Dutch" heritage you would of gotten beaten to an inch of your life as a kid if you stole anything from anyone. You don't even think about it. I think at minimum that this person should step forward and make a public apology at least to his fellow JDeer's and we accept it as a huge stupid mistake. It would give closure to all. We are all friends here. Maybe a group hug is also in order.

I think he's planning to take the stage at the Ride-In and confess then ask for the group hug. :)

Personally I still would have let the police handle it. Never know if there is retaliation down the road. Needed to have a case opened up for any possible future situations stemming from this incident.

Hopefully though the past is the past and all parties involved move on in a positive manner.

Understand and agree with that, too. I'm a good portion Dutch too!
