Hurley area FISH FRY. Where to go ?

I already know about the - all you can eat SNAPPER on Silver St. - looking for something GOOD.

My first suggestion is head to Ironwood, MI and hit up Don & GG's!
Other thought is you might have to head to Mercer...somewhere like The Gateway or Cranberry Inn

Iron Nugget in Hurley (right on trail) has a good fish fry. Just had one last week. As stated above, Don & GG's in Ironwood is good. Just look for the Mobil station sign on the trail just east of town. It's right across from the Mobil on US 2. You can leave your sleds on the south side of the highway and walk across. Both suggestions above are easy access.

Also in Ironwood, the American Legion, in my opinion is the best around. It's a throwback to the 70's kinda place, but the fish fry is second to none. Getting there by trail is a bit tricky if you don't know the area as it doesn't have direct access, but you can get there. It's in the lower level of the Memorial Building, about 1-1/2 blocks off the grade that runs through town. Appx a mile or so further west of Don & GG's heading towards Hurley.

I love don and gg's but don't get the walleye its terrible it has honey on it. It's a disgrace to walleye.
