What's It Worth '13 800 Rush Pro R?

Title pretty much says it all. Clean sled 1300 miles pull start no extras. Guy wants 8k that seems a bit steep to me.

Are they really unreliable or is everyone just having fun with the Poo guys?
I'm coming from an 05 Rage.

Thanks
Doug

Call KIP...I bet you could get a vector (slightly used) for that price....or maybe even a Rush...(if thats what you really want)

I bet that Rage will be running longer than that 800 Polaris. Do not make the same mistake Attak man did.

Yep...I went from a 4 stroke with 13,700 trouble free miles to a two stroke with 1,400 miles...and here I sit.......as she locked up last weekend....3 other friends of mine went down this weekend too....really not sure about two strokes right now.

Yeah..I know the Rage will be running for a long time. Rush looks and feels like a lot of fun jumping things etc. Rage is definitely a cruiser. Just thinking of mixing it up a bit. I've only ridden Yamaha since 1978 and thinking of giving something else a try.

I'd really like the new Viper, but I never buy anything NEW. Drives me nuts knowing how much money I lose driving off the lot and most new aren't any more reliable than a newer used sled.

I here great deals and service out of Kip, but I don't think I'm going to be that way again this year.

Just wanted some opinions on the Rush and the private sale price. Thanks.

New line ups coming real soon unless sledless I would wait see what's up for 2015.

I hear ya, but I just refuse to buy anything new. I guess I'm a cheap skate.

Maybe if something really wows me, but hasn't happened in over 30 yrs., probably not happening now LOL

8 grand is not a bad price for that sled. Does it have any warranty left? It's a fair buy for sure. Hope this helps! Kip

I totally understand...did the same thing myself...tried something different...and bought the cat....it wasn't all bad...in fact..if it hadn't gone down...I really liked it.

I'm starting to notice a trend here with the other brands... My dad may have been on to something, he was a true blue Yamaha guy and always said Cat and Poo are for folks who like to ride into the woods and walk out and that you had to be a frog to ride a skidoo (I think a reference to our French Canadian friends) .... Maybe I'm not that curious about what is on the other side of the fence..

I've got to get off a sit down sled though. On a smooth trail I love my old '03 Viper and the '05 Rage isn' t far behind, but the bones are starting to feel every bump. I actually turned around the other day because a trail got too rough...I never have done that before....

Anyway I'm rambling.. thanks guys.

How much are you willing to pay for a sled, new this sled sold for $11,000- 12,500.
You don't think it's worth 8k, man if i do the math that's $3000-$4500 less then new and it's only a
year old.
Sounds like a dam good deal!!!
Just sold my pro-r 11 for 2k less and i dropped the price by $800 and I kept the es i put on.
I know i have said this before I have never had a problem with a 800 poo motor.
I can't believe there isn't a year or two warranty on the sled depeding on what the last guy
bought with the sled.

I hear ya, but check out the KBB and NADA on that sled. Full retail is like 8500 and trade in is around 6k. Private party price has to be closer to 7k. I'm scared to buy it now anyway, the more I read about that motor.

I totally agree Kip. I do believe that if most had purchased this sled new in 2013 they would find it hard to let it go for only $8,000. Sounds like a good buy!

We don't 'know now but if you like doos some talk of them using eps on 15s & would not be surprised to see eps on Viper in 15 & that would go for Cat too. Highly doubt poo would use eps more Indy stuff without any add ons in price is the poo thing. Non current poos should be good deals in 15 if just BNG.

what is eps bro?

Electronic Power Steering....
Stay away from the 800 Rush...get the 600, it's plenty quick in the trails and very high reliability. You will love the Rush compared to your heavy Yamaha.
No comparison in suspension and handling - not even in the same league.

If you want to get away from a sit down sled than a Doo 600 e tec is a good combo, I'd run from a poo 800 trail sled and i'd run from the doo 800 e. Cat has a nice ride and the 800 is good but watch out for clutch issues as it's a serious problem. I believe I would say the poo 600 would be a better choice than a doo 600 cause so many electrical gremlins on doo. I rode some 13 Cats a few weeks back and wow are they a nice ride but them darn clutches. Considering a poo 800 trail sled is a sin.
