  • Just wondering, do you belong to a snowmobile club up in the Irma area? If so, advantages? If not, why? I was thinking of joining one, cuz i do most of my riding in the Merrill-Irma area. I do own a house in the area, but i live in Kenosha.
    thanks!

Attack man I am coming up Friday night and riding till Monday I was wondering what you thought the trails would be like out in Harrison Hills area also what do you think the trails could be like heading towards Prentice and heading south west toward Merril I do understand some of the trails are closed I'll just have to look at the map and go from there thank you very much for your help
Sledhd1..Jeff is very good..best deals in the area..but I love my yami four stroke...My next sled will be a vector with power steering...awesome sled..My attak is very fast....too fast for me...I don't care about speed anymore..I'm a middle aged dad too...give me reliability and comfort...believe it or not...that vector will beat my attak off the line, and runs side by side with it to 80 mph...then the attak walks away on top end...and keeps pulling...too much for me..I really don't need that much speed anymore. I even thought about getting a venture with eps..it would be a cadillac on snow. If you like ski-doo...the 1200gsx se would probably be my second choice..a loaded sled with air ride...the doo is a bit lighter than the vector, and rides and handles a bit better...it also has long legs on top (definately faster than the vector)...BUT...the vector has the smoother engine, with better fuel economy,.
I was always Yamaha, been riding a ski doo for a while a 99 mxz 600 put 6000 on it no problems and now have a 02 mxz 700, 8000 no problems either I know thats more luck than Ski doo qaulity. friend has had many. 1 burned to the ground another had 3 miles on it stator went bad and this year 2 stators on differnt sleds and another one dropped a cyclinder. and my uncle has a 8oo that he bought from jeff last year he lives on Lake Nokomis wiped out a cylinder at Christmass. I like to get a Yamaha again I am 51 would realy like one with power steering that just has to be the way to go.I usualy get to Tomahawk 4 times a winter as my Aunt and Uncle Live on Lake Nokomis been sledding there since I was 8 1969 started on ski daddlders and then H-D . been a lean year for me as my Daughter is a senior and plays basketball so I made many games as possible next year she will be living with aunt and uncle going to Nicolet she has a zr 500 arcticat. make. ,
