They picked up close to 3 ft in my home town just north of Worcester Mass. Guess it wasn't a bust for everybody. Wishing I was there right now!

Saw some of the apologies....Good stuff. I like the formula posted on here. I bet it works 9 out of 10 times. lol

Tom Skilling was explaining why it is so hard to predict snow fall yesterday. So many variables. 1 inch of rain can be a wide range of snow depth.

You do have to appreciate the good meteorologists out there. There are a few I look to. Skilling and Dee. They do have a difficult job.

Its a shame the media takes it and tries to turn the weather in to "breaking news" or the headline story for the day because no giant disasters to cover etc.

In northern NJ always the game will it be snow or rain or both back & forth? But when it snows heavy wet stuff that drifts & stacks up quickly & be gone in 2 weeks.lol

MSP, MN NWS should auto post this type of message when they blow a snowfall forecast again.

They should use a model called their BRAIN....not a plethora of computer generated junk.

Analysis paralysis........is what I say.

I agree you have to give the "real" meteorologists respect. These storms are very hard to predict. Nor'easters are especially difficult because you have the added variable of the ocean's influence. To be honest it's pretty amazing they can get them even remotely right! This one was actually called pretty darn close. The only place that was really off was down town NYC. Even then they were only off by a few miles. Long Island got slammed plenty hard.

The media drama, now thats a whole other story!!
