Beautiful Northern Lights the last 2 nights. Last night they were spectacular! I'm still learning how to photograph them so my pictures are a little grainy but I think you will like what you see! They were awesome and so bright had to share

Those are always an awesome sight, thanx for sharing the pics. I'm also curious to the time and how often you are seeing them.

Just saw on the news a bunch of cool pics and heard it was a special event that results in a more active northern lights.

www.spaceweather.com - You can check this site to see when the sun has blasted stuff our way which causes the aurora. You can even pay for alerts. There is always an advanced warning before they are going to hit.

We have a friend who calls us when it on or going to be on, he's an avid chaser of the lights and takes awesome pictures. So Tuesday morning we went out around 3:30am we stayed out until 5am they were great but I couldn't work my camera. Last night they were out at 10pm we stayed out until 11pm could've stayed out all night from what I've heard. I can't wait to get better at shooting the lights

Awesome pictures! One summer i think it was (2011?) the wife yelled hey come out here! i said what? Northern lights visible in the sky from my back yard in Ironwood. Looked like several giant, green flashlights was going up and down to the North.
