Hi everyone-hope you've had a good summer-sure has been a fast one.
Superior Snowmobile Club from Mass City/ Greenland/Twin Lakes will be having their trail work week-end on September 18th and 19th this year.
Few of the guys have been out running the trails to survey everything that needs attention so now we're hoping for some "helpers." This has become an event that many have planned for-for many years. It's called FUN WORK and it's a time where you make new friends and look forward to coming back the following year.
We're asking that if you have ATV, bring it. However, if you don't have one, there are areas where you can get to by vehicle-no problem. Also, if you should happen to have nippers, chain saw, battery operated drill-they are helpful also. If you don't have, don't buy and don't let that stop you from coming-the club can furnish some and tools aren't needed for every job.
For lunches on the 18th, bag lunches will be provided by Don & Donna's D's Base Camp and Shelie at the Mosquito in Toivola. Bag lunches on the 19th will be provided by Deb at Krupp's Mini-Mart in Twin Lakes and Jerry & Val at The Pitstop in Greenland. Again this year the Saturday night cook-out with food, bon fire and everyone sharing their boot high snowmobile stories will be provided by Richard & Sandy at Krupp's Resort.
For lodging, Krupp's Resort and D's Base Camp are already filled so you'll need to call to make reservation at a place of your choice: Wildlife Refuge Cabins in South Range, Adventure Motel in Mass City, Lenny's The Old Town Hall in Greenland, or in Twin Lakes Wyandotte Resort or Hallmark Hut. If you should have RV and want to bring, Krupp's Resort has sites with full hook-up (electric, water & sewer)
For any questions, please call Richard or Sandy at Krupp's Resort 906-288-3404 or e-mail kruppsresort@alphacomm.net. ALSO, please let us know you are coming, how many will be coming with you, when your coming and where you'll be staying. We do need this information as we need numbers for the lunches and the Saturday nite cook-out. Another reason we need numbers is so work groups can be divided up ahead of time for designated jobs.
I'm probably forgetting something-just keep an eye on "Events" for any updates. Many have called ahead of time to make plans on their jobs and any time you can give will be really appreciated whether you can be here one day or both days. We are getting excited just thinking about it.
