Have a buddy that wants to try riding somewhere in the UP, is ATV'ing in the Keweenaw as fun and scenic as sleds? Would they be able to ride to areas such as Brockway Mountain? If not any other UP suggestions for him and his wife? They want scenery, a few pit stops and possibly camping from the wheelers. Most of there riding is Black River Falls and they want something better and different. Thanks.

Perhaps in the State Forest area's, but not anywhere else that I am aware of. I've never had a problem anywhere here in the Keweenaw. Get some maps of area's you are considering & check out the regs-Mezz

Just got back from there August 24th. Rode 4 days. 417 miles. My 1st trip ever up there atving. It was awesome!!!! We went everywhere in the Keweenaw. Brockway mountain, top of the cliffs by Phoenix, Eagle Harbor, Eagle River, Gay, Lac La Belle, High Rock. I have a 64" RZR 1000XP and had absolutely zero issues getting anywhere. I highly recommend doing it. It is way different in the summertime. Can't wait to go back next year and do it again. Will be up there this winter riding also!
So you can hit Brockway? Thanks for the reply. Just trying to steer a bud and his wife to a good time. I know they would love it as long as they can get to some of the same areas you can by sled, and it sounds like they can. Thanks for everyone else's reply as well.

Oh yeah, you can get to top of Brockway. It was a sunny clear day and the view was great! Like I said, you can get to just about anywhere on an atv that you can with a sled. Trails aren't near as wide as the in the summer as they are in the winter, but with any type of trail riding, always have to be on alert for oncoming traffic. But in those 4 days, I can count one hand how much oncoming traffic we met.
