Was watching the news this morning and the weatherwomen said thank God its as warm as it is or we would be getting about 30 inches of snow..... I could have reached through the TV and punched her.Im so sick of people who dont like TRUE WI./Mich. winters talking like this.I wish they would just shut up and be a little sensitive to us snow lovers. Can you tell I cant wait any longer? Have a good day all and THINK SNOW!!!!

So true pwolfy2003! Having lived the first 22 years of my life in NW IL; I moved north to Appleton in 1997 hoping to enjoy the winter season more. The last 13 months has been a "hard pill to swallow" since NW IL has had more snow than NE WI.

Warm atmospheres support more moisture than cold atmospheres. This wouldn't have produced 30 inches of snow, because the dynamics behind this storm aren't possible in a colder air mass.

Should have moved to Michigan into a lake belt. I don't know how you guys do it without lake effect in central Wisconsin.

Mark Holley on Channel 7 out of Wausau,WI likes winter and he is not afraid to say it. He's the best we have here in central WI.

Yes Mark is a great weatherman. Fun to watch and follow. Partied with him once in awhile at our town festival when he was in Eau Claire. Definitely likes winter and is fun to hang out with.
