How Many Miles This Year?

350 on some good and some mud. I would do it again with newer carbides. Ran the new 12 trail from Rockland to Ontonagan. That will be an easy trail with more snow.

Also ran up to Copper Harbor, starting out from Rockland. There were quite a few waterholes until Mass and thin snow up to the Firesteel Bridges. Trails were good around Twin Lakes. The snow thinned out again just before Houghton. The conditions varied quite a bit by the clubs past Houghton.

A little over 800 miles on the cross-country skis this season since Oct 17, at various locations between Copper Harbor and Twin Lakes. (Its nice to be retired).

028-e.jpg 012-e.jpg Nice pup! Yours? That is a Goldie (Golden Retriever), isn't it?[/QUOTE]She's actually a yellow lab, and is my neighbor's dog. I take care of her from time to time and occasionally take her on adventures in the woods or in the yard. She is in my house this morning for her breakfast treats and patiently waiting to go for a morning walk.

518 miles in last week.... 140 in UP.....378 in Vilas. I found trails 70% no issues good, 30% thin needing snow (mainly in/out of towns) .....anyone who stayed home and didn't ride missed a great weekend (a little route planning and staying off "bar" trails made for great ride)

Where in Vilas was that? Every trail I rode in Phelps sucked but unplowed FRs were only good I could find.

Where did I say that I've been in Vilas?

Your post agreed with Shelby who rode in Vilas. I'm only concerned with Vilas conditions as can be on that snow in a new york nano second. Phelps club cancelled Tuesday club ride to BJ so if there is good out there we can ride in that direction. I will ride this afternoon but did not intend to use many trails as was crap on Friday.

Oh Jesus here we go again?

I didn't quote WHERE he rode....only that "anyone who stayed home and didn't ride missed a great weekend (a little route planning and staying off "bar" trails made for great ride)"

If you stayed home you missed some great riding....and I don't mean in Vilas County

Is that better?

I thought you were referring to Vilas Co. as well seeing as you answered "yep" to a reply Shelby made of riding 378 miles in VILAS CO. on a how many miles did you ride thread. I guess Vilas Co. is the upper mid west.

Vilas Co. WI .......... west of Sayner over to Boulder was nice, Nixon Lake rd from Boulder to Black Oaks awesome... Conover to St.Germain 70/30 good/bad.....N/W of St G riding the "non" bar trails were good..... The trails run from bar to bar and in town were in need of snow...... but hey, Ive ridden much worse trails in the spring when melting with way more snow on ground.......I'm not saying the trails were perfect, but I found good rides and enjoyed.......Just my personal experience..... I am a sled ***** and will ride when not perfect..... Just slides and carbides.
