So Vince condella (fox 6 Milwaukee) said that the models in the afternoon run today showed slowing of the storm which means more warm air enters causing the snow totals to dwindle with more rain forecasted. Can you explain that further, I don't understand the dynamics here as I haven't heard of that scenario before.

I'm not really sure either. Sounds like a question for Vince. I can say that the speed of a low pressure system typically does not impact the rain/snow outlay. That is determined by the thermodynamics (temps, humidity) of the storm. The track was nudged a bit north, so the main rain/snow line has also been nudged north a bit, but not by much.

Big dry slot pushing northward. 3.5" in Nekoosa and it stopped snowing. 2" here in Rice Lake.
