For all the folks that order new sleds it is a wonderful time. The new 'Doos are out and guys like momoney are beside themselves with excitement. New colors, new motors, 10 feet long - what could possibly be better?? Soon the new Yamis and Pols and ACs will be out. Maybe Yami will bring a factory turbo for Whitedust?!? Maybe Pol will bring something with cast iron iron A arms for Skylar and Mezz??!! And you can be sure AC will have at least 98 different models so everyone can be happy. Sleep will be lost and maybe some pennies will be pinched to help get that new tin. All summer will spent be looking up reviews and trying to find out everything possible about the new ride. It will be FUN!!!! Maybe it will take a month or two just to figure out which wrap you will use. Then it will get to be fall and you will be calling the dealer every week to find out the ship date for your new toy. It will probably come on December 20 so you will miss out on the first ride or two but you will get over that. The sled will come home and get waxed and all ready for the first ride. And then BOOM. The best months are over. The anticipation is done. Time to ride. Reality sets in. On the first trip you bend the 10 foot long tunnel on your new 'Doo. Surprise - your 800 Pol blows up!! You get your 800 lb Yami stuck and get a hernia pulling it out so your season is over. Your new Arctic Cat blows a belt and the remnants go through both the belly pan and the side of what passes for a hood and you can't get new plastic for three months so you ride your new sled with duct tape plastered all over it. BUT - You had March through the middle of December to be happy. Such is the experience of booking a new sled. I really miss it!!

Well said Grub! But, I'm on a 2016 Mountain Cat now, so, cast iron a-arms for that will work! Lol.

Well, I can't offer any experience in the spring order game...but I can only assume one of those cases would hold true in my case

Great post! I nice reminder of why we love this crazy sport that we can sometimes enjoy only a handful of weekends a year.

Nice one Grub. I'm just looking forward to a good March weekday trip, then I'll start looking at all those new A/C options and figure out if the rental year worked well, or if I should dive in and buy something again.

Seems like you took a good year to cash out. La nina next year?

Cash out then buy in, in my area a 2016 Viper is $8,949 plus tax and registration and a 2016 600 E-tec Renegade is $9,000 plus tax and reg, no additional fees.

Sounds better than pre-ordering a 2017...unless you are getting the 850 Ski-Doo then the option is singular; buy the 850 it is only $11,700 (only, lol).
