gas formula switcharoo

hopefully, with all the talk about summarizing sleds, that ya'll know the gas formulas have been changed. for example MARATHON bought all SPEEDWAYS and to give everyone that .05 cent lower gas they took out the STP additive. so when you fill up speedway your actually buying marathon with no stp. and the can of stp is 7 dolla in the store. so basically your ripping yourself off trying to save 60 cents. all the major manu's have done this same thing. no longer is caseys caseys or 7/11 is 7/11 or mejier and so on. don't go cheap any more with gas otherwise just fill up at wally's smoke shop and really save. be sure to look for a tiny sticker on pumps also that says. 10% RECLAIMED GAS. that means they added 10% of the gas you left in your 1966 Bonneville and had sold to junkyard. they just sold it back to you 7 months afterwards and it only sat for 7 years in your yard. you saved .05 x 17 gallons too....LMAO. just put any vehicle away now and leave room for new PREMIUM ONLY gas added to tank BEFORE 1st fireup with the new formula. it basically rejuvs the gas good enough to burn it out with 1st ride. the way the formula is now with additives it doesn't matter what stabilizer you add if any. it just needs about half a tank of new gas. in case you want to read about this info for yourselves its on WIKIPEDIA under MARATHON gas and recent purchases as is SHELL and all the others. And its also at BOBSTHEOILGUY.com. there are TIERS of gas now and then the truck gets its additive that goes to that station. its not like times of old when they all got the same gas, but they want you to think that the old system is still inplace because they make the most money off of people trying to save a dime. true dat.

The oil industry is a racket! Long history of it, and that is being nice about it. Many, many ways they manipulate products, and prices of their businesses. 2 weeks in a row now I have received info on record high inventories of crude, and refined products (gasoline, diesel fuel, ect.) in this country. World production, and domestic, is set to out produce consumers for long time. I buy fuel from several "jobbers", and have learned a lot from them both. Just priced delivered diesel again this AM. I should have filled all storage the last week of January as it is .24 higher now. Retail gas at the pump up .30 to .40 in that same time. They have more excuses for cost of their products than you'll ever dream of!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just received some new info on gasoline inventories. Revised??? They now say the current gasoline inventories are lower than they thought. Supposedly we are using gasoline at a plus 7% rate over year ago levels. 7% is a lot of gasoline. Yep, hang on, here we go!!!!! These guys are great at what they do.

hey OLDABE. you do know WHY that fluctuation occurs right? its not what you think either (as usual) you need to study the REPLETION AND SUSPENSION section in here. This will do 2 fold. first it will show you that the people who said this pres and that pres was bad for the country were dead wrong in their assumptions. example people said BUSH bad, but reality is he was good and CLINTON was bad, due to who drained and who filled it. those that drain it cause high gas prices for those administrations that have to refill it. while the pres before that drained it looked like he was the savior when in fact he was doing us all with pipe grease. Then you will also be able to tell when prices are going up or down. realtively close that is but way closer than the public because this is what the oil guys use to determine some of the cost raising or lowering. Obama has been draining it and lubing us all. he looks good, but the next pres will have to refill it, that's why its raising as NOBAMA's term comes to an end. then theres those additives. LOL

Oil industries have only themselves in concern. Loyal to no country, to no president, to no one but themselves. Long history to provide proof of this. This country should use the "anti trust" laws as they used to. As for politics, don't forget Putin. Why do oil, and gas company's in this country pay pennies on the dollar for leases compared to the rest of the world??? Cause they are nice guy's???

United States Strategic Petroleum Reserve

United States Strategic Petroleum Reserve:

The SPR's "formidable size" with a design capacity of 714 million barrels, see Strategic Petroleum Reserve,
"The SPR's formidable size (design capacity of 714 million barrels) makes it a significant deterrent to oil import cutoffs and a key tool of foreign policy."

…and see SPR Quick Facts and FAQs, quoted here in part:
"The Strategic Petroleum Reserve is a U.S. Government complex of four sites with deep underground storage caverns created in salt domes along the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coasts. The caverns have a design capacity of 714 million barrels and store emergency supplies of crude oil owned by the U.S. Government."

… or 727 million barrels [?] (same link, scroll down):
"Highest inventory - The SPR was filled to its 727 million barrel design capacity on December 27, 2009; the inventory of 726.6 million barrels was the highest ever held in the SPR."

… is kind of "peanuts", representing at most the total US consumption for roughly 36 - 37 days. Wooo, I'm underwhelmed.

The following table is from
(click →) The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) Short-Term Energy Outlook (Release Date: March 8, 2016):

Wondering why the total consuption used doesn't add up only adds up for 2017 2014 should equal 14.4 '15 should be 14.68
Actually 2017 doesn't add up either it would equal 20.02

Oh foo, my bad[SUP]1[/SUP]! A transcription error!
Of course it still doesn't add up. Either 'cuz they used their gubmint computers :p, or perhaps I missed something in the accompanying fine print.

Using my totals, that's still the total US consumption for ≈ 47 - 49 days.

Consumption (million barrels per day)2014201520162017

the capacity does not matter in the future price. what does matter is if it gets added to public consumption or has to be taken off the publics amount and reput in the reserve. that dictates the cost. nor does additives dictate cost. its like your checking account. you don't bounce a check that you wrote yesterday. but you can bounce a check wrote 2 weeks ago.

Hope that 727 million gallon reserve doesn't have ethanol in it! Or, maybe they use 28 million gallons of Stabil.
