back to the topic, it is interesting when a HOF QB starts to lose protection and his receivers aren't getting open as they used to; they definitely struggle. Makes you wonder how many really good QB's had very mediocre careers due to the teams they played on and see how some HOF QB's would fair on lesser teams.

The argument to that then would be tom brady. Any receiver and any Oline he still plays great.

On the other hand no doubt some Qbs have more success based on coaches, systems and protection. Dak prescott has the best Oline in football, i dont think he has the success he has had so far if he is drafted by the browns or rams.

To me something feels different with rodgers. Problems with family? Getting old? Oline? GF? I duno

Belicheck is just a master at his trade, this season so far has been unbelievable. Brady, who is a great QB, combined with the coaching is just not fair! I expect Brady to play at a really high level when he gets back.

Belichick has sold his soul to the devil. They will never lose another game as long as he is there. Even if Jay Cutler gets traded there.

When the opposing team puts pressure on Rogers like the Vikings did he becomes less effective and can be beaten. Look back at any game where you lost and the key is pressure on Rogers. When more teams figure it out and can execute a game plan as the Vikings did, the Packers will win less games. The other key is NEVER give Rogers the ball in the last 2 minutes with a chance to win the game. We had 2 Minute Tommy Kramer and you have Rogers and for many years had Brett.

I watched two games today, the first half was "lights out" and the second half not so much. We were missing a lot of talent on defense this week with Matthews, Shields, Burnett, and Jones on the bench. Not to make excuses but it doesn't take much to tip the scale. With the Bye next weekend we have a couple of weeks to get everyone healthy. Jordy and Rodgers looked like their old selves and McCarthy always manages to pull a couple of boneheaded plays out in every game. Badgers win, Packers win, a good way to finish off the weekend.

hey a win is a win,,,wasn't pretty in the 2nd half but we did have 3 of our best 4 defensive players out. I'm worried shield's may never play again. bye week comes at a good time but it's too early, we're going to need another bye in a month a half. badgers might be top 5 this week, that was as an impressive of a win as they have ever had.

Its either the dumbest rule in the NFL or I have totally misunderstood it. If a kickoff lands in bounds but near the sidelines, but never goes out of bounds, a returner can run out of bounds and grab the live in bounds ball and its considered a out of bounds kick, which places the ball at the 35. Sooo, why is this a rule?

I hadn't seen that one either. I got this explanation off Packers.com

"Randall Cobb introduced us to that rule against Tennessee late in the 2012 season, when he stepped out of bounds and fielded a kickoff. If the return man is out of bounds when he fields the kick, the kick is deemed to be out of bounds. In each case, it’s a great special teams play because it’s the result of great special teams coaching."

Basically, we know that if the ball lands out of bounds on a kickoff, that's a penalty. What I didn't know is that if the player catches the kickoff out of bounds or returns from out of bounds and catches it, it's a penalty. For what purpose the second part serves I have no idea.

Rodgers still doesn't look right. Missing easy throws with zero pressure.

Not lucky, just a better team effort. Excellent protection by the O.L. maybe the Giants D is that bad, dunno. For playing rookies and backups I thought the defense did well against there receivers and the Pack kept them under 50 yards in rushing. That's good defense! I thought Rodgers looked OK, Jordy had some drops that hit him in the hands.

Dallas is going to be very interesting, that's a scary offense right now.

I'm kinda pumped to watch the Dallas running game and Dallas oline (easily the best in the NFL) against the packers run defense (apparently the best so far this year in the NFL)

If it was in Dallas I'd say we are screwed. Luckily it's in GB.

Rogers had all day to throw with that kind of protection Pack will be difficult to beat.

It almost seems that Rodgers threw bad balls when he has to much time. Maybe he's not used to that....haha. He seems better out of the pocket.

A win is a win, I agree that Dallas definitely is a much better team than Giants at this point. Dallas O line is the real deal, coupled with strong running back and good QB play. The Green Bay QB protection last night was ridiculous, maybe Rodgers had too much time. Im not sure why Green Bay just didn't keep handing the ball off all night long!
