I am a much bigger NFL fan than MLB but this year, and last year also, the Cubs have caused so much excitement. I used to find baseball a slow and kind of boring game. I got back into watching the game a couple years ago and now I can't stop watching. Very excited for the WS.

it was choking when they get shut out back to back but bats came alive and pounded the Dodgers.
The cubs are stacked no doubt. The young talent they have is gonna be good for a looong time.

Way to go out on a limb and correct me on what choking is "AFTER" the series is over. Very brave on your part.

We must have different definitions of choking.

It is true Cubbies were NOT hitting but snapped out of Rizzo was 0 forever now hitting like he can back to SF series. We will see if Cub bats stay hot in Cleveland?...sure hope so pitching will be aok.

LOL, little sensitive this AM? Bravery, come on man, thats pretty petty but if thats how you post than so be it. No, i posted that the games went as expected, reference above. Choking would be getting swept, losing a game or 2 doesn't consititute a choke to me.

Here's my complete guesswork for the series:
Game 1: An excellent game with 2 very good pitchers; Kluber vs Lester. What a toss up and have no idea how this is gonna end up. Gotta take someone so I'm going with a 3-2 Cubs victory.
Game 2 - Arrieta vs ?, The Indians bounce back and hit Arrieta for a 4-2 win.
Game 3 - Back at Wrigley and Hendricks still pitching well takes the game for a 2-1 lead in the series.
Game 4 - Cleveland pitches Kluber again, hes a little tired, but pulls out a win over Lackey. Tying the series at 2-2.
Game 5 - Lester gets the Cubs a victory, Cubs up 3-2
Game 6 - Lets just have fun and say Indians take the game, Cubs fans are freaking out ready to jump, Chicago is on edge.
Game 7 - Kluber pitches his 3rd game of series and Cubs get the 1 victory over him to close the series. Thursday, November 4th turns out to be the worst business productive day in the City of Chicago's history. Advil and coffee sales reach record sales.

i would say there's a 90% chance I am wrong on all of it! Should be fun.

Yeah I really struck out on that one! What a great pitching performance by Kluber, really rattled the Cubs hitters. Cubs definitely had their opportunities though. Im still sticking with my Cubs prediction of winning the series, although I think they might even take it in 6 games. Next time Kluber pitches the Cubs will do better since they have seen him.

If I were the Cubs, I would check to make sure the balls are inflated to the proper pressure!

Lots of baseball left. Go C

Little stat....

Game 1 winners have won the last 6 world series and 24 of last 28. Its gona be a uphill climb for the cubs.

yeah i did see that stat, although I would like to believe that the better team tends to win game 1. For this year, I believe that the Cubs are the better team. Kluber is definitely an awesome pitcher, but it takes 4 wins to win the WS. The Cubs have better depth to their pitching rotation and that's what I base the prediction on. Cubs can lose every game to Kluber and still win the series, although technically Kluber would be pitching game 7, but you get the point. And of course, the best team does not always win so there's that stat the Cubs have to overcome.

Disclaimer:
I really don't like any Chicago sports teams always root against them, being born and raised in Wisconsin it's in my blood to delight in Chicago sports fans misery. With that being said I just bet a guy at work the Cubs will win even being they lost game one. Straight up no odds. Still think talent trumps anything and Cubs are loaded with talent. Indians are red hot and sometimes that's all you need at the right time.
Although I would gladly give my buddy 5 bucks to watch Cubs lose.
