This is going to be a cold game, mid teens at kickoff and colder for the late game of a doubleheader. Similar to Bert Farve's last game in 08...and we know how that ended.:miserable:

I should also mention, one of the gifts from my wife at Christmas was the new Favre book, "Gunslinger". It's pretty good, a lot of new stuff especially about his dad and their relationship. A good read when there's no snow on the ground. :miserable:

You argued so strenuously about them being a viable Super Bowl contender, that has to go down as one of the biggest blown prognostications. I want my $100

No time.
You were most vocal about the ViQueens being serious Super Bowl contenders, at which point I threw out the $100 wager and you kind of....shuddup. I think it's funny actually!

I believe I said they had a chance at making the NFC title game , would never lay 100 unless I was getting like 12 to 1 or better. Plus I think I was more intrigued with bridgewater, the team really pooped the bed down the stretch tho no doubt. when you start 5-0 and don't make the playoffs, something went terribly wrong.

Packers opened at -7.5 and within 8 minutes were bet down by the sharps to 4.5

If my memory serves me right the pack will be looking for some revenge in this game. Eli plays big in big games but I think the pack win by 6 or 7.

The NFC is wide open for the taking all teams very beatable. Just don't think the pack can ride out the poor defense too much longer.

I actually thought the Vikings had as good of shot at the playoffs as any NFC team based on their defense Started the season off great and not really sure what happened. Although the pickup of Bradford didn't work it was still better than doing nothing and mailing in the season. Pack are as hot as anyone right now and they were wildcard when they last won the SB. Cowboys are definitely team to beat and built the right way with the offensive line. The Cowboys pushed the Pack around last time they played and can still do that. The Lions, as usual, will get beat first round and end with a 4 game losing streak, but at least they made the playoffs. Looking forward to some good football this weekend!

I don't know about that trade was better than doing nothing. They gave up a 1st round pick in 2017 and a 4 TV round pick in 2018 that can become a 2nd or 3rd round pick to NOT make the playoffs. Go back to the other thread ( on my phone and it's a pain to look up) I said repeatedly this was an awful trade. Granted it wasn't all bradfords doing but he did have an excellent defense and led the Vikings to the worst offense in the NFL. Bradford is who I thought he was. U don't give up them kinda picks for him.

My post was that doing nothing was telling your team that their not gonna win and they wouldn't have. I agree they gave too much for Bradford, who had the highest completion rate this year (tells ya how much stats really tell ya, like a winning percentage for pitchers in MLB) but something had to be done. If my team.would have lost a starting QB with that defense and done nothing it would have shown me they don't care to win. The NFC north was up for grabs this year.

Did you know Bradford set the NFL record for passing completion percentage, haha how is that even possible, did he thro anything past the line of scrimmage

Bridgewater will probably never recover enough to be an NFL qb again. When that becomes obvious the Bradford trade will look better. There are no extra NFL quality qb's floating around. Bradford is a known commodity. He can make the throws if he has time. He was a first overall pick so he went to a sucky team to begin with. That is the fate of a lot of first overall picks - they go to teams that are deficient in many ways. And again, the Vikes usually blow their first round picks anyway so it is not that big of a deal if they don't have one. The vikes need to dump Peterson and Kalil and a few other non productive staff and buy an offensive line. That is really all they need. If Bradford has time he can let the routes develop and throw downfield. Just like any other pro QB with time. That said this is a Packer thread so good luck GB. If 'good' Eli shows up you are going to need some luck. However Eli hasn't looked good for awhile.

The packers are hot right now. In so being able to do what they need to do, and not blowing it trying. That makes for under rated team of who ever to be dangerous to face. And I do get the Eli thing, but now he's on and off. He's not nearly as consistent as he used to be when getting hot. But the Giants still have the "spoiler attitude" that they have carried for many years. Oh well, we'll know soon. Cold weather will be a factor.

Bradford has always been known for quick release dink & dunk and numbers show that. Vikes need backs that can shake and bake after the catch and Vikes will luv Bradford. Jordan Howard would be all world with the Vikes.lol

I must have missed something with him, but could never figure out all the hype about him going to the Bears??? But the Vike's would not have got to where they ended up without Bradford??? Or would they have??? IDK. Seems NFC central upside down more so than not, year after year.

At best Cutler will be number 2 next year but more likely will be packaged up and traded no future with Bears. Cutler contract money was killing any prior trades so Bears were stuck with him. Emery made a huge mistake signing Cutler to long term big money deal. Emery long gone but new GM Pace stuck with Emerys mistakes but this year only 2 million dead money to get rid of Cutler. Pace will either trade to get QB or draft a QB somewhere other than round 1. Just no can't miss QB that is obvious this year but prolly a good one there somewhere. J

Cutler wont be traded. he will be released. Who would trade for the contract.

Pace has 2 players in PFFs top 10 best rookies this year. And neither is leonard Floyd who was #14 overall best rookie even missing games. Not a bad draft class for pace.

Whitehair graded out as the 6th best center in football pretty impressive as he was drafted as a guard, not sure they will move him. But competition is always good.
