Lack of Grooming from Trail 3 in Houghton to the Super 8 Motel

We stayed at the Super 8 this year and the trail was bad on Jan 1st and sounds like it isn't much better since then , we all said how about hire a local to drag a box spring or a actual little pull behind groomer of some sort ? It doesn't need to be perfect but somewhat flat , just a thought

PD and SB... Do you two like each other or not? Either way I enjoy the ball busting.

I'm pretty sure this is one of those scenarios where you two make each other better? Bird-Magic, Skidoo-Arctic Cat, Yankees-Red Sox stuff... : )

hahaha..we never met..just playin with my new bestie..

Firstly I'd complain to the super 8 management then if nothings rectified I'd book somewhere else...

The trail that always got me was the one to Dreamland but usually by the time we left they would have someone dragging the old box spring down it... Its been a few years so I'm not sure if they still groom it themselves...

LOL! They have not used an old box spring in decades, they actually have a small drag for that trail which can be pulled by either a sled or a tracked side by side. As far as the path from the super eight to the bridge is concerned, I believe that actually belongs to the City of Houghton & is actually a non motorized path during the summer. As such, they may have "the" say on what happens on that path.-Mezz

I had a "Lakeview" room (these rooms are literally 30 feet from the water) on 2-1-17 and there were very few tracks on the canal I could see.
At 11 PM though what do I see (hear) while watching the news, an older orange F-5 (or 6 or 7) go by with a can on it about 50 MPH, he was about 60 feet off shore too. He kept on going for as far as I could see and seemed like he was going quite a ways away.
Is it too early (or even safe) to be out there?
