yep yami's held value , until AC merger

I don't intend to aggravate anyone, but how many sleds would Yami have sold the last 4 years without the A/C deal??? My guess is not many??? Perhaps Yami would not even be here???

?????????? Whats with this????????

Notoriously high Arctic Cat depreciation rates that are higher than all other sled manufacturers have poisoned the Yamaha brand, thus depreciating Yamaha sleds faster than pre-A/C involved Yamaha model years.

I chuckle to myself when I see a early 2000's Viper or Venom for sale on Craigslist for 3k and it is sold in a week. Not bad for a 13 year old sled.

Dare I say...the truth?? Those are severe discounts, implying people don't want them, don't ya think? Give me a Viper with R-Motion, AXYS or Pro-R chassis and I'd be on the phone already with my CC.

So your saying Yami better do a new sled/chassis by themselves, or it's over??????????? IDK???

My guess is a'lot more sleds w/out the AC deal. Yamaha would be a'lot better off without the AC deal.

I grew up loving Yamahas, but I'd assume the 2008 sleds they manufacturer and sell as 2017 sleds are profitable, since they don't do R&D anymore. What have they done in the past 10 years? The mono skid? Added a "performance damper?"

A sucker is born everyday. If I am correct, that would NOT be an 850, probably an 800 that is old technology.
Sad.

No-

Yamaha would probably be out of the sled business if not for this partnership...

What if Textron decides not to renew the partnership contract with Yamaha? Likely Yami would be done..

Polaris deals are out there as well still making me ill when I think about the $11,400 I paid for what is available 2 model years newer at less than $10,000 right now.
I blame crappy weather forecasting.

so Textron will dump the whole sidewinder / Thundercat thing,....for what?...Cat sleds will be done as well when that happens.

I have 2003 Yamaha and a2005 Polaris. both turned over 18,000 Miles last week. Polaris had Pistons replaced on recall, Yamaha has never had heads off. Have always had nothing but OM oil in them! All cyl Have over 128# compression.
