Many of boat houses, dock system and even this house have been lost. I have only lived through 5 winter break ups on this lake as a fairly recent move. Talking to one of the old salts who have been here for 40+ years, stated the worse he has seen. My property is safe with the large amount of ice pile I have in front of my shoreline, but others are not there yet. When I looked across the lake yesterday afternoon, almost 9 miles of 100% ice (about as far as I could see). The damage is not done yet.
This is a house about 20 down from me. Taken completely off its foundation. Ice in the interior. Will be 100% loss.
