Trail mileage question....Munising

Not sure by trail but a long freaking way by car and many trails run next to the road in that area. We viewed Taquamenon Falls in the summer and it is a nice facility but the falls did not impress us. A very popular place for sure but we just didn't get it compared to western UP sights ....maybe more of an eastern destination for folks from east of the bridge....enjoy. :)

A couple times a year we do the Munising (Wetmore) to Tahquamenon and back route. Its takes us just a few miles over 300. We typically take trail 8 (Gas stop at Pine Stump mid way) to 45. Hit the falls, then south again on 45 to just north of Newberry and pick up trail 9. Take that to 431 into Seney. Then 43 back to 8 and back to Munising. Good trip.

With the suspension on that sled "too far" comes to mind, especially after 3 PM when the trails are shot.
Back in 2000 I remember riding a 1998 Indy 500 from Hurley to South Range and back; those whoops killed me, I complained to myself in my helmet the whole way back.

Shade over 300. Be sure to eat at the Brewery while at the Falls.

Better to do the trip mid-week. Trails take a beating on the weekends. They try to groom as best they can, but just to many sleds.

Overall a nice trip.
