Polaris Trail App

Anyone else having issues with the Polaris Trail Mapping App? I have both the Polaris Rider X and the Polaris Ride Command. The Rider X is at least coming up, but it is missing quite a few trails near where I am going to ride (Munising). The Ride Command - I did the update and the screen is just white. Anyone have the same issues and find a fix?

I had same problem. Delete the app, and re-download. Took care of the problem

paper map???

FWIW - usually have a paper map as well, but seeing on the screen where you are at, the direction you have been traveling and rough distance to your next stop for fuel or food, is very helpful. Our stops to look at a map and been cut down by at least 75%. To me that is safer and ultimately more miles in any given day with less fiddle fart factor mixed in. For those who rely on paper maps, no biggie to me - what works for you is great. I for one embrace the technology.

My son had same problem yesterday. Pretty cool app. But was a great opportunity to unfold the map . Was able to tell him another back in my day story. Lol

The only other hiccup is that the app and the paper map did NOT agree on trail names on about 50% of the trails we rode, or were considering riding. That was a little odd. We still figured things out, but I'm assuming the local paper map was the more accurate of the two since it's published by a local snowmobile club.

We had a paper map with us as well, and I agree that the app is a more efficient/effective tool. If you download the map while you have service, you don't need any service to use it. Just the gps. I rarely have service where I ride so I leave my phone in airplane mode.

I am working with Polaris to get all of trails in Munising area corrected. There have so many trail re-routes over the last couple of years. I would not trust it in this area currently. I have all updated gps data for all the trails in the area.
Trying to get them to work with you in a timely fashion.... My hope is this week to get it all corrected. Holidays are over. No more excuses.

I just noticed that Ride Command is missing a whole route where I was riding in SW Mich - glad I had my Garmin!

Thanks Snocrazy. The area I am talking about is just to the East and NE of Muni - big spot on my app there are no trails on the app. Please keep us posted on your results.
