Sorry to go off on non related to snowmobiling topic. But as a world, society, people... have we become that sensitive that "Rudolph the red nosed raindeer" may be pulled from airing on television because it promotes "bullying" ? ….. Rudolph....Really?? I mean come on people. One word...… "PATHETIC!". I had also heard on a talk radio program over summer that one group was targeting cinderella because it promoted kissing without permission. all I have to say is what a joke and pathetic, really people?

I don't think "we" have become pathetic, it's the extremists that are simply taking these things entirely too far. How else are our kids going learn right from wrong if they aren't taught in an understandable simple sense. We as adults today must all be a bunch of bullying bad azzez from all the things we've experienced & watched on TV starting as kids through young adults. ****, we might be considered potential terrorists because we watched Wyllie Coyote run around with crates of dynamite & Acme rockets! LOL!! Maddening? Yes, but also laughable.-Mezz

Good point mezz, I wonder out of all of the tv shows we grew up watching, how many would be able to be aired today, that would be approved by audiences, politically correct, not to mention cartoons that would be deemed safe for our children to watch. could you imagine if someone tried coming out with a show like archie bunker, or married with children in these days and ages, wouldn't happen, yet we are expected to accept and look the other way when subject matter is not only incorporated into television and movies but commercials too that once was a very taboo subject growing up. Im sorry buy im one that just doesn't get it.

Funny you bring this up - When I watched it for the bazzilionth time last week (Yeah, I'm still a kid at heart), I actually thought, "How long before this is pulled for bullying in today's society"

Isn't the point of the story to be over coming your perceived short comings, and fighting through tough times, and making your way, no matter what it takes??? Today's "do everything for you" and "protecting your feelings" society and thought process is not making our kids fight for themselves, and learn basic lessons of life - that being, its not fair.

Good point Mezz. Very laughable.

No kids for wifey and I. When I hear things like this it sure makes me happy with our decision. FFS its Rudolph! A freeking animation!! I was listening to a guy talk about all the really old christmas specials that were on AMC over the weekend and Rudolph is in a lot of them. This idea of erasing history makes me really upset! To think that because we take it out of school or books it didn't happen. Its a lot bigger than Rudolph. Its a class of sheeple and its gonna just keep getting bigger. Geez. Some people have nothing better to do but to sit around and wonder how they can screw up a good thing. Makes me sick. Ok rant over...

I no longer listen to talk/hate/misleading radio, or what ever the media. No matter the source, or side from which it comes from. Too much time wasted trying to make something out of nothing, for some reason, fear, or what ever it is. Just too much crazy BS on who knows what!!! I wouldn't worry, Rudolph is going to stay. As I remember Tucker was needing some new topics at that time due to issues he had.

All media news is just propaganda bullcrap anyways, and I mean ALL!

its actually fake people who work at the fake news networks spreading rumors to see if it runs a course....the ones in the photos crying crocodile tears when Hillary lost.....most of those all work in the journalism fields

Again it's the liberal media showcasing the extreme views of a very small minority of nutjobs....yes just another catagory of fake news.

Without question every new crazy idea is easily traced directly to left wingnut extremism....not sure why anyone would call all talk radio the problem except that the only successful talk radio is 100% conservative in nature and it combats every new freak leftist idea that their accomplice media gloms onto and spews as news.

Rudolph teaches the important life lesson that being different is bad/scary, and must be ridiculed and forced to conform at an early age. Unless of course, your anomaly can be exploited/profitable, then it's all good. As long as you toe that line. ;)

AND WHY WEREN'T YOU AT ELF PRACTICE?!

Right on all scoot!!!! The fake/false/dishonest/misleading/lying media is not limited to one side, or the other. It comes from both sides, all sides, upside down, right side up, screwed up, and what ever else sides. One just has to be relevant enough to use their intelligence, and common sense, to sort out the truth, from the BS, misleading, and outright lies!!! But, some are not capable of doing so, therein lies the problem.

'Blazing Saddles' could never be made today. One of the all time best movies ever. We have been politically corrected to boredom. A lot of the most popular movies today are based off comic book superheroes all with the same basic plot. Current moviegoers don't want to think too much. Just watch the cool special effects.

Steve Carell recently said that The Office couldn’t be made today. So things have changed so much that a show that just ended five years ago would be DOA today in a network boardroom.

There are certainly crazy folks with big platforms on both sides of the aisle, but political correctness, emotional/cultural fragility, and identity politics are 100% a creation of the left. I don’t think leftists would even disagree with that statement; they’re proud of the change. It’s their beloved progressivism.

I don't understand how the lefty's cant see what it is we are creating by removing these things from our every day life, and here lies a good part of the problem we have today, someone stated above that yes the movie has bullying but more importantly it taught that you can over come and be better than what you are being bullied about, and as far as the now deemed politically incorrect films that will be forever classics, yes they made fun of every day life, government, history but I don't know about the "lefty's" but life isn't always fun and these movies/shows made people laugh, wether you agreed with it or not so what it was funny and we need to do that at some point, if you cant laugh sometimes whats the point, and why not teach real life situations, let downs or shortcomings through example with movies or shows instead of sugar coating the truth or taking away the ability to laugh. if you cant handle it, don't watch it, easy as that.

All this crap, but its completely acceptable to have some biach like Joy Behar spewing her garbage on a daily basis on daytime television (For the record, that show will not get one ounce of my time, I saw the following on another station). She couldn't even make a positive comment about a dead President without ripping our current President.

I'm sure we are getting a little too political for this board, but it really is utterly ridiculous some of the things they want removed and stuffed away in a deep grave......

It goes along the same lines as people complaining about the song "Baby its cold outside" and getting it banned from radio stations, that play the same songs that are MUCH MORE offensive than the songs they play that are listed on the billboard top 100. Look up the lyrics of some of those, if you care to. Unbelievable.

Behar and Cnn and Fox are all on the air because of a simple little thing called ratings. Cooking shows and reruns of I Dream of Jeanie were not getting it done for the big networks anymore. The formula for all of them- right or left- is the same. Take a tiny little morsel of fact and spin it until it suits your slant on things. The more you can warp it into something fantastical the better. The masses don't like to think for themselves. They will believe anything. The National Enquirer is still a huge seller. I sell out of them every week. Elvis is alive and living in Panama. There is no 'news' to be found on any of these shows. It is all fabricated propaganda. And the sad thing about it is that a huge number of the general population believe it is all gospel. And they VOTE based on what they see and hear on these bogus networks. They are too lazy to go out and do real research for themselves. And to the best of my recollection it all started with Rush Limbaugh. A righty.

I disagree with 75% of the post above (for the record)....some networks are much more "factual" than others, and less based in rhetoric, emotion and hate. There will always be low-information voters - I agree with that.
On a weekly basis, The Hallmark Network beats CNN....the ratings are miniscule. No news at all - just hate spewed at the side they disagree with. Rush isn't primarily news based - it's opinion-editorial. Talk shows are different than "news" networks.
