Had a great weekend up at the cabin. Found deep snow and lots of stucks. Trails were perfect and even better was nobody was around!

I knew you would find the deep stuff! I dove off the power line north of Leroy's a couple weeks back, and the top 6-10" is kinda thick and setup. Once you break through it seemed like it was all sugar! (I know this is not an off trail sled, but its still fun to try once in a while!)

This one snuck up and bit me, wasn't prepared for what I found...…

Hey Elf thanks for the pics and updates

How is the wife doing, I believe she ended up with a few stitches from a couple weekends ago (might have been the same weekend you added some "character" to your trick and trailer)?

My wife is doing good. Haven't got her back out riding yet but maybe this weekend. The truck goes in for its repairs next Monday while they actually totaled the trailer.

Kevin,
The power lines were good but we found the deepest stuff in the woods and the older clear cut areas. It wasn't as set up in there as the powerlines were.

I believe that - I came across a lost rider a couple weeks back about 10 miles south of the Trestle playing in a recently cut area (On an old XLT of all things) and me and another guy followed their tracks to try and locate his buddy. Moron took off without his friend and was sitting at the Trestle! Fortunately the guy on the XLT stayed with the other group we flagged down so he wasn't left stranded out there but seriously, stay with your riders people! He was in full panic, and thought Silver Bay was the wrong direction on the trail. The Polaris Ride Command App he was using has the Trestle located at the park and ride there in Finland, he was completely turned around....

Well elf, you definitely take home the snorkeling trophy on this run. Sounds like a way better trip than the last. Thinking the temps may have thinned the herd a little on the trails.

We saw a few sleds Saturday, mostly at the Trestle Inn when we had lunch, but on Sunday we only saw one other machine out.

This coming weekend will be a different story I'm sure.

Maybe sledders respected the John Bear Grease and stayed off the NSST - even though I know you don't ride it much.....

We ran a couple miles of the NSST and then looped the Moosewalk, played in a few spots, and stopped in at Leroy's. it was about 2:00 when we swung in there and he said we were his first customers of the day.

The Beargrease wasn't supposed to get to Finland until about 8:00 PM, I just think most people felt it was too dang cold. And it was cold, got a little frostbite on my neck, one hand was froze (broke off a hand guard on Saturday, dang tree!)

Yeah, my riding bud was there until Saturday AM - he said he stayed close to Finland being on the sled by himself with the cold. And he used my gauntlets, and now swears by them! Trail riding of course.....
