Propane tank vapor to liquid withdrawl

I have a 40lb propane cylinder that was once used on a customers zero turn that we have since converted back over to gas, want to use that tank on my forklift since it is a larger nice aluminum tank, it has the same threaded valve as my forklift tanks that I rent however the valve is on the vapor withdrawl side of tank and my forklift is set up for liquid, does anyone know if I can simply move the valve from the vapor side of tank to the liquid side of the tank and make this tank useable for my forklift? Thanks

I never knew anything to run on liquid propane, any propane coming out of the tank should be vaporized, but i'm not an expert on this, any propane experts out there to help

this is on a larger forklift with 6 cyl Hercules engine the regulator/vaporizer has antifreeze running through it to warm and help vaporize the liquid, but yes all do run on vapor its the process on how and where the liquid is converted to vapor which determines if you need a liquid draw or vapor draw tank, thanks to rp7x I can just change the valve location on the tank.

I believe you can but if it is tipped on its side you will end up with liquid and if you don't have a vaporizer/regulator set up for a liquid withdrawl system chances are good the regulator will just ice up as they are not set up to have liquid introduced into them. What determines if it is a vapor or liquid system is the regulator. if it has engine coolant lines running through it, it is liquid withdrawl, if not it is a vapor withdrawl, the grill tank will work it just depends if you will have to tip it on side or stand upright. hope this helps
