Looking for sled rentals near Rapid River

Planning a trip to Rapid River, MI next month and can't find any sled rental places between the Wisconsin border and there. Anyone know of one in Escanaba, Menominee, or near Rapid River? I looked into one in Crivitz, WI on the way up but would prefer to rent in Michigan so sled permits don't have to be purchased.

Try Renzes Powersports in Munising (906-387-3920) about an hour north of Rapid River. Go about 15 miles east of Rapid River on US 2 to FFH 13. Turn left (north) on FFH 13 for about 35 miles to M 28. Renzes is a half a block from that intersection. I realize this is likely out of your way but letting you know in case it works for you.

Doesn't the Cherrywood/ Economy Lodge in Munising still rent out Skidoos? They used to have over 60 of them.

when you ride while renting I think that location has to be a top concern..... kinda like PATP fuel.....it isn't available everywhere.

Pretty sure there are places by Iron Mountain. Maybe try calling Iron Mountain Powersports, they don't rent but may know who does in area. Pembine Lawn and Sport does rent sleds. Was on a trip there last year and saw their store. Hope that helps.

That is the main point. Rapid River isn't always reliable for having good snow like up by Munising. I don't think there is anywhere to rent a sled by Escanaba. Location, location, location.
