Yeah, just as the Flu, it makes one feel like chit! Flu weather.Think she more than beginning to sing..she’s starting the second chorus! Over before it even started for a lot of counties. What a bummer.
Unfortunately, it seems she's definitely warming up her pipes. Time will tell I guess. At least this year I got 2 days in vs just one last season. Fingers crossed a better season will come next year. Got spoiled a few years ago with at least 3 good ones in a row. I'm too old to chase snow like I used to. Hopefully, a trip out west is on the bucket list though, too.Sadly with what the next 10 days weather forecasts look like, it is going to be really hard to recover from this extended thaw. Giant water holes will now appear, and create havoc as to future grooming. Sucks, just as the Flu.
I been to togwotee a couple times and rented mountain sleds there. Been to snowies a couple times and took 137 trail sleds. Can you ride trail sleds at the big horns? Renting isn't in the budget these days. Was thinking about a mid-march trip and I'm not sure the midwest weather is going to cooperate. Perhaps Ontario. Snowies was fun but both times it was hard to find snow that wasn't all tracked up, so I was wondering where else we could take our trail sleds and ride. For me the trail sleds do ok out there with the sway bar disconnected and the coupling blocks out.Riding till June in the mountains.Headed out to The Big Horns later this week, then capping off the season with a trip to Togwotee over Spring Break.
Yeah the Big Horns will work Hoosier. 22 years ago my friends favorite spot in the west. He never had anything but Poo, and then Doo trail sleds, converted to 136" tracks. We always got along fine with trail sleds out there in March. However, don't loose site of Ontario, and hope for colder weather! I dearly love to ride the big mile wilderness areas of Ontario! Always my Favorite. Good luck.I been to togwotee a couple times and rented mountain sleds there. Been to snowies a couple times and took 137 trail sleds. Can you ride trail sleds at the big horns? We had them in Chicago area two weeks ago! So weirdSeen 2 Robins on way to work this noon hour in Valley.
Thanks for the input. My FIL used to go out there I think with Poos extended to 136. Ontario had a lot of snow a few days ago. I don't think I ever saw so many trails open at once on the website map, especially some of the areas that don't often open. The great northern loop was open so I've had my mind set on that. Not sure how bad the warm front has impacted them. We wouldn't go up on the 15th, so anything can happen between now and then.
