I drove by the Ye Olde Shelleighle today and saw that the building is up. Talked to Craig the owner for a bit and he mentioned opening sometime in May. Welcome back!

I saw the new framing when we were last by there. It looks much smaller than the old building, is it?

Tim, I think it’s bigger and it’s set farther back from the road. He will also have a beer garden. I think it will be nice.

It does look smaller Tim, widthwise. I ran into Craig the owner last week in Retreat and he said something about Manitowish Waters having issue with what was the original footprint and what he wanted to build new. It is definitely deeper, and Craig showed me photo renderings of what new inside layout will be. It will be nice when done and another destination spot next winter on the sleds. I told him I missed the barrel entryway, and he told me to just keep watching until its done.

That's good to know. Glad he's finally getting it rebuilt. He had said he was having difficulty obtaining the permits at one point.
