i think he is up at his cabin burning boat gas and drinking beer

Good call, two for two. Oh, and a little fishing from time to time.

I apologize if I missed it but anything up and coming for a new resto project? potentials?
Thanks for asking and nope, you haven't missed anything.

The Cyclone/“Liquidator Pretender” project last year was a lot of fun and I really liked how it came out so I figured that would be a good place to wrap up my major vintage project threads.

I do have some unfinished vintage sled work that will keep me in the shop quite a bit once the geese decide to head south. What I’m arguing with myself about now is whether or not this work is interesting enough and/or challenging enough to publicly document in any detail or if I should just skip to the finished product.

I have some time to mull it over and if I could come up with an angle that will amp up the project interest level a little, it might be thread-worthy. I have already given it a little thought and have some ideas. Suppose I should really try to keep the string going for one more year.

I think what you're looking for is "drama" to hold the interest. Much like the Reality Shows on TV. Consider what's being said when the parts don't fit together? Old Riding Buddies show up and some tools go missing! Get the idea?

Heck, if it works, sell it to a network and call it Survivor On Kelly's Island!

I have always liked following your projects. Big or small, matters not to me as the things you do are done right & is interesting to follow. I realize that it all takes extra time & understand if you didn't want to get that involved with it. Needless to say, you would have a good following regardless.

You guys sure know how to poke the bear….but in a good way.

I had to make a trip to the house tonight and your questions/comments motivated me to go out to the shop and assess the situation. I looked at what might be possible and what might not, potential parts issues, and possible dead ends. A plan is clearer but still a little fuzzy but after all, it’s still July.

Even though Gary had a novel suggestion, I don’t think the reality thing would really work. If I were to do a weekly video program of my shop antics, it could never pass for a reality show. No doubt, many of you would be saying to yourself: “No one could be stupid enough to do what he just did, it has to be scripted.”

I’m kind of fired up about getting something together so thank you all for the jump start that I needed.
