New marine battery wont fully charge.

I've been reading arguments about marine batteries online for years, and here's what I've come up with. A battery maintainer/trickle charger will not charge your deep cycle marine battery. You're wasting your time, and you need a higher amperage charger.

I've stored mine indoors over winter and will pop them on a 2 amp trickle charger. I was told that I'm not doing anything helpful to the battery with a trickle charger. Get a higher amperage charger and charge it that way.

My old maintainer had no problem charging the marine battery, before the charger broke. The charger was 10 years old.

Marine battery is interstate.
Someone can correct me if I am wrong but Interstate not what it used to be either, thought they were bought out by Exide which ranks right up there with FVP as far as battery quality goes IMO. As stated by others in this post I too like the NOCO Genius chargers, use them at my shop, was turned on to them by a recommendation from a post on this site a few years ago. I will point out also that I've seen some funky things occur with batteries that are seemingly good and will cause issues that will make you go HUH.
